Down time and surfing

Sorry for the lack of news recently but we have basically been having some quality down time in Gran Canaria. With no wind around and therefore no sailing, we have been enjoy the festive season (which in the canaries seems to go on for a month!). The positive side of no wind in Gran Canaria, is great surf. We have had some amazing sessions over the last month, with some of the best waves I have ever had. Right in front of the house we have a selection of different waves, all so much fun. Check out the shot from sogtulaken.blogspot.com. As we have had no sailing, I made a last minute choice to head out to Cape Town. The forecast looked good and there was a bargain flight, so I leave tomorrow for 2 weeks. Cant wait as there are loads of people out there to go sailing with, so it should be a lot of fun.
